Locksmith training in Indianapolis

Indiana State runs one of the top 30 locksmith schools in the United States of America. The school produces hundreds of Locksmiths in Indianapolis every year.

It provides training from ground level. This allows all students no matter of their prior training or existing knowledge of the field to start each course learning as well as reaffirming the basic principles required of each topic covered in each course.

It offers courses like: Basic Locksmithing, Safe Lock Servicing, and Electronic Security. The student who passes out becomes a licensed and registered Indianapolis Locksmith.

Basic Locksmithing:

In this course the students learn about the basic locking and unlocking principles as related to a standard pin tumbler cylinder. Students learn how to disassemble and reassemble standard mortise and rim cylinders using the tools of the trade as well as how to make keys and rekey popular brands. They learn about pinning kits, code machines, opening techniques, basic masterkeying and more.

Safe Lock servicing:

In this course students learn about the basic safe lock components and their functions which includes, Safe lock terminology, classifications, safe labels, safe construction, ratings, wheel designs and the complete transfer of motion. Then, proceed to learn about combination change procedures for both hand change and key change types. Digital models and programming are covered as well.

Electronic Security:

In this course was developed to learn to lock or unlock doors remotely and electrically. Today’s security incorporates the electronic security hardware found in this low voltage course. They learn to use a volt meter and learn about basic circuits, programming, card readers, pinpads, electric strikes, electromagnetic applications, installations and more.
